Wheelchair model of the Fisherman's Friend
|
The Fisherman's Friend was designed to enable a handicapped fisherman
to cast and retrieve his or her line when one arm is disabled.
Accordingly, this device was conceived and designed to permit such a
fisherman to cast, to immobilize the fishing rod and then to retrieve
the line, using their active arm, hand and fingers. This device is
completely adjustable and reversible (for left or right handed users)
and is secured to the belt of the user at the waistline, both in the
front and back. There is also an adjustable shoulder strap to secure
this device to the user, as well as an adjustable pole holder and pole
rest while the user is retrieving the line. This device is designed for
a straight handle fishing pole with a finger trigger. The pole leash
included is for pole recovery in the event that the pole is dropped.
